So the first thing that we did to get to Kenting was go on a long train HSR for about 2 hours to the last stop for the HSR main station, bus stop, and MRT. We got on a bus for a couple more hours and finally we got there. At first it was kind of like a mountain area then finally we got to this point where it was more like an ocean town, and we were surrounded by water. So we dropped your bags off and went to the ocean that day then we ate dinner that night too. On the way up we passed a bunch of go-karting shops, so we decided maybe we'll try one out. The lady asked us how many people would want to go, and asked if we were tall enough, the hight limit was 115cm. So we all measured ourself on the measuring stick. Me and Grayson were tall enough! But sadly our two cousins weren't. So they had to drive with one of their parents which isn't too bad. I wanted to drive with my dad so I did. I did most of the steering and he did all of the controls of speed because he was on the left side and I was on the right side. Grayson decided that he wanted to do it by himself so that meant that Mom would have to do it by herself too. We all got our helmets on and we found our vehicles and got ready. My dad could fit his right leg into the go-kart but not his left leg so what he had to do was not put his left leg all the way in to the go-kart. That means that my dad could not break! so first they said "okay first group can go".
And the race officially started. And then zoooom - we were off. It felt so fast like my head pushed back onto the seat and the wind was swishing through my hair and nose. Grayson's and mom's cars were really fast because they were much lighter. When there was about halfway through, Grayson was going really fast, and he skidded out. One of the people who worked there came out onto the track to help him.
At the end, everyone was pulling into the starting place and undoing their seatbelts until we pulled in and crashed everyone because dad couldn't break! Everyone took their helmets off and told each other stories about the experience. For example, I remember that I saw that my cousin Enzo was recording almost the entire race on the GoPro so it turned out to be a really good video.
When we were done with go-karting, Uncle Jeff and Dad got to leave on scooters! Luckly they had more control over their scooters. – Poppy
