4 hour jewelry, Ubud, Bali

We went to Balipurma - a jewelry making store! So what we did was we arrived at this craft shop with about 3-4 people work there that were PROFESSIONAL jewelers!!!!!šŸ˜® It was really fun and cool to see and learn how they make all the pendents and earrings and other jewelry. What we started with was drawing out what we wanted and just planning what we were going to need to complete our jewelry. To do that, we had to look at what we wanted to make and the type of jewel we wanted.

After I picked out of the stuff I needed, I started by making the base of the pendant. I cut out a small circle and used a tool to hammer it so it curved. Next, I carefully glued small flowers on to the circle pendant. I got to hammer letters on the back with my initials and the date. One of the workers told me to come pump this thing with my foot. I didn't know what to expect, but fire started coming out of the hose looking thing. After I was almost done, they had to, what I like to call "edit" my pendant, because they had to redo some of my jewels to make sure nothing fell off. We were there for 4 hours! I learned that it takes a lot of time to make small jewelry. So when people have stands with a lot of different rings and pendants that are very detailed, it probably took them a lot of time. --PoppyšŸ¤ŖšŸ˜šŸ¤©šŸ¦
